Around 5:00 AM, several people on their morning walk spotted the leopard and informed the property owner about its presence in their backyard.
The forest department was contacted, and they arrived with a dart gun to tranquilize and rescue the animal. On their first attempt, the dart missed, causing the leopard to run in various directions. At this point, HCS Director Dinesh Khate intervened, halting the chaotic rescue operation. He instructed the team to cover the compound with nets and clear the surrounding area to minimize risks. The rescue operation was successfully executed under the guidance of DFO Shri Prashant Khade, MLA Shri Kishor Jorgewar, Habitat Conservation Society members Ankit Bakde, Amit Deshmukh, Omkar Matte, Najish Ali, Rohit Belsare, Rahil Ali, Shahid Pathan, along with other NGO Members.
